Lena is an economist and entrepreneur. After earning a B.A. in Economics (Pi Sigma Honor Society) she obtained two graduate degrees, a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and an Executive Management Degree from IMD. She has worked among others, for the European Union, Merrill Lynch, Johnson & Johnson and Concept SA, where he was President and CEO. Lena served on the Boards of Directors of the Hellenic Retail Business Association and the Hellenic-Spanish Chamber of Commerce, as well as Repositioning Greece. She is passionate about education. She is the President of the International Board of Advisors of the Tufts University in Boston, a Member of the CAA of Columbia University in New York and a Trustee at College Year in Athens.

DESMOS aims to coordinate the donating process between donors and organizations in need. Desmos does not attest to, or provide any guarantees regarding, the quality of the offered goods or their characteristics. Desmos designs and implements programs arising from financial donations by individuals, companies and charitable financial institutions aiming to meet the needs of vulnerable groups. In order to be able to sustainably run our programs, we need to cater for implementation costs such as research and update of needs, proposal compilation, implementation follow up, payments, financial and final reports to donors etc. The set policy of Desmos is to charge a 10% administrative fee after removing the applied 0.5% donation tax. Especially where individuals’ monetary donations up to 5.000 euros for combating the COVID-19 pandemic are concerned, Desmos waives its right to the aforementioned percentage and assumes the responsibility to absorb all administrative costs.
