For the third consecutive year, the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation (CAFF) and the Non-profit Foundation Desmos organised the “3rd CAFF Family Day x Desmos”, powered by Amita. On June 16th, 2026 in Athens, 100 families in vulnerable situations were invited to participate in an afternoon filled with joy, play and togetherness.

Children enjoyed a variety of games, arts and crafts, face painting, dancing and basketball sessions with the support of the CAFF Academy coaches. As the afternoon unfolded, Giannis, Kostas, Francis, Veronica and Mariah Antetokounmpo joined the children on the court, playing basketball, taking part in the activities and creating memorable moments for everyone involved.

Meanwhile, parents had the opportunity to relax and enjoy watching their children have fun, while everyone gathered around food, juices and water. At the end of the event, each family received a basketball, giving children the opportunity to continue enjoying the game and staying active.

The event brought together 222 children and 111 parents supported by 11 civil society organisations and educational bodies, including ActionAid, Emfasis Non-Profit, Melissa Network, SolidarityNow, IASIS NGO, Médecins du Monde Greece, Network for Children’s Rights, Together for Children, SOS Children’s Villages, Children First and SEP Urban Network A’ Athens.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Founder of the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation (CAFF), stated:
“When we created CAFF, one of the things that mattered most to us was finding ways to give back to the communities that shaped us. CAFF Family Day is about creating moments of happiness and support for families — not just for one afternoon, but in ways that continue beyond the event itself. Greece will always be home for us, and it means a lot to be able to bring people together in this way.”
Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Founder of the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation (CAFF), stated:
“CAFF Family Day is one of the most special days of the year for our family because it’s all about bringing people together. We want families to feel joy, feel cared for, and feel celebrated. Seeing kids laughing, playing, and having fun, and the community coming together means everything to us. We’re grateful to all of the partners and volunteers helping make this day possible.”
Alexia Katsaounis, President of the Board of the Non-profit Foundation Desmos, stated:
“At Desmos, creating meaningful social impact and strengthening communities lies at the heart of our mission. Every child deserves moments of joy and every family deserves to feel supported. Initiatives like these act as a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when communities, organisations and companies come together around a common purpose. We are deeply grateful to all those who contributed to making this day so special.”
Dionysia Simatou, Brands Marketing Director of Amita, stated:
“For Amita, care and giving really come to life when they are transformed into actions that impact people’s lives. Through this special collaboration, we had the opportunity to contribute to a day filled with smiles, warmth, and meaningful support for families in vulnerable situations.
We believe that when people, families, and organisations come together around a common purpose, they can create something much greater than a simple act: they can create hope, optimism, and a better future for everyone. And that is something that fills us with pride and inspires us to continue giving, always with love and care.”
Theodoros Gerostergioudis, CEO of Diamantis Masoutis S.A., stated:
“At Masoutis, supporting families and local communities has always been an integral part of our identity. We are particularly proud to join forces with CAFF and Desmos in this important initiative, contributing both to creating a wonderful experience for the children and families participating today and to providing them with meaningful, long-term support. Through our commitment to providing essential supplies, we aim to support families in their daily lives and strengthen the sense of solidarity and social cohesion. We believe that when we join forces, we can make a real difference in people’s lives.”

The event was made possible with the support of sponsors and partners, whom we warmly thank: Amita, which powered the event as the presenting sponsor and generously provided juices and water; Masoutis supermarkets, which offered snacks, cosmetics, and toys for children; Parties2bremembered, which brought entertainment and activities to life; Domino’s, which provided pizzas; Goody’s, which offered burgers; and Everest, which contributed sandwiches.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the volunteers and representatives of the participating organisations whose enthusiasm and dedication helped create a memorable experience for every child and family.
