Thrace Plastics Group S.A. are donating 2,000,000 certified, single use, surgical masks for the support and protection of vulnerable groups in Greece through Desmos.

Our common goal is to provide charitable organizations that have limited or no access to this highly protective gear with the necessary supplies, in order to better care for their beneficiaries in the current COVID-19 pandemic. The Thrace Plastics Group donation not only protects the individual health of high risk people, it also helps maintain public health nationwide.

Desmos that works as a hub for charitable giving in Greece will coordinate the research and communication with charitable organizations throughout the country and will manage the distribution of 2.000.000 masks to senior care homes, children’s homes, social pharmacies, homeless shelters, and many more.

In this project our priority is to provide certified single use masks to charitable organizations and social welfare providers that care for high-risk vulnerable groups such as the elderly, infants & children, patients with chronic diseases, low-income and/or uninsured, and the homeless.

The project has been the initiative of the Thrace Plastics Group S.A. that identified Desmos as the most reliable and efficient organization to manage this large donation and ensure that the valuable supplies go where they are needed. Thrace Plastics SA has begun producing masks since this past March, capitalizing on their technical know-how and production capabilities. The company is donating 50% of production for May & June, approximately 2.000.000 masks, to protect vulnerable people against COVID-19 in Greece.

In a perfect synergy, ACS Courier Services has also joined this collaboration to take on the free and safe delivery of these masks to charitable organizations nationwide.
