Adamantia Tsichli is a Nursery Teacher Assistant.
Having completed her training at «My Business School (MBS)» in Rethymno, she has worked as a Nursery Teacher assistant in internship positions emphasizing in experiential employment of children, and has offered volunteer work at the Center for Creative Employment of Children with Disabilities of the Association of Parents of People with Autism in Rethymno.
Through the program, she started working for the Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Autism Disorders in Rethymno operating the organization’s Social Centre.
Her responsibilities include the class formation for children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities based on individual needs assessment and the organization of workshops and materials needed. Her certification as a nursery teacher assistant and her experience with different age groups is valuable in the implementation of activity programs, art and experiential workshops. The position includes administrative and secretarial tasks (keeping a record of activities, attendance, communication and information to parents-guardians of the beneficiaries, communication letters to the media, etc.).
The Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Autism Disorders in Rethymno is a non-profit organization founded in 2007 from parents of individuals with autism and other related disabilities. Today it counts approximately 200 members, parents and friends of people with disabilities. The association provides immediate intervention and support to the difficulties children with autism and other disabilities face in their family, school, health and social welfare. The aim of the association is the provision of support and training to people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families, through social interaction and skills training, social inclusion, advocacy for equal opportunities in educational and social integration and quality living to people with disabilities.
The purpose of the Social Centre “KOINONIKO STEKI AMEA” is to provide daily activities for people with disabilities. It is a reference point for parents and people with special needs. An urban space that will facilitate professional training and social inclusion.
