Myrto has received a B.A in Sociology at the Holy Cross College in the USA. During her last year in the States, she lived in New York, where she worked at high-end boutique stores and at the American edition of ELLE. She returned to Athens so that she could work in the fashion industry and open her first designers’ store, MAGIC TEE, trading clothes, accessories and jewelry. Today, together with her mother, she is working in the family business, ILEANNA MAKRI S.A., designing and exporting valuable jewelry in numerous countries around the world. Myrto is one of the founding members of Desmos.

DESMOS aims to coordinate the donating process between donors and organizations in need. Desmos does not attest to, or provide any guarantees regarding, the quality of the offered goods or their characteristics. Desmos designs and implements programs arising from financial donations by individuals, companies and charitable financial institutions aiming to meet the needs of vulnerable groups. In order to be able to sustainably run our programs, we need to cater for implementation costs such as research and update of needs, proposal compilation, implementation follow up, payments, financial and final reports to donors etc. The set policy of Desmos is to charge a 10% administrative fee after removing the applied 0.5% donation tax. Especially where individuals’ monetary donations up to 5.000 euros for combating the COVID-19 pandemic are concerned, Desmos waives its right to the aforementioned percentage and assumes the responsibility to absorb all administrative costs.
