Stamatis holds a BA in International and European Affairs (University of Macedonia) and a Double MA in Human Rights and Democracy in South-East Europe (University of Bologna and University of Sarajevo). He has collaborated with 5 NGOs in Greece, Poland, Croatia, and Kosovo, and directed a youth human rights group in his hometown, Thessaloniki. Stamatis has coordinated large-scale medicine donations and humanitarian aid projects, managed educational programs, and supported Erasmus+ initiatives.

Fun fact: Two months before joining Desmos, Stamatis ran the Athens Authentic Marathon as part of the Desmos Running Team, supporting the organisation’s mission while completing his first full marathon.

DESMOS aims to coordinate the donating process between donors and organizations in need. Desmos does not attest to, or provide any guarantees regarding, the quality of the offered goods or their characteristics. Desmos designs and implements programs arising from financial donations by individuals, companies and charitable financial institutions aiming to meet the needs of vulnerable groups. In order to be able to sustainably run our programs, we need to cater for implementation costs such as research and update of needs, proposal compilation, implementation follow up, payments, financial and final reports to donors etc. The set policy of Desmos is to charge a 10% administrative fee after removing the applied 0.5% donation tax. Especially where individuals’ monetary donations up to 5.000 euros for combating the COVID-19 pandemic are concerned, Desmos waives its right to the aforementioned percentage and assumes the responsibility to absorb all administrative costs.
