Communications Officer scope will include creating and disseminating communications content for Desmos in both English and Greek. Indicatively: content creation for press releases and newsletters, social media posts, digital campaigns, website update and maintenance, tracking campaign analytics, maintaining media relationships/databases and archives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and excellent knowledge of the English language
- Prior working experience, a priority will be given to experience in marketing/ communications
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
- Good management of social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube etc
- Ability to think strategically and identify ways to move forward
- Strong writing and communications skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Knowledge of photo editing tools
- Experience with the non profit ecosystem is a plus
Responsibilities
- Communications Projects Management, tracking project progress, keeping documents in place and ensure their accuracy, identify and solve problems, monitor deadlines and manage schedules
- Work with all team members to gather information on running programs and projects and create relevant communication content
- Collaborate closely with external communication agencies and graphic designers to create and implement communications strategies and campaigns
- Develop, write and edit marketing and communications materials, including press releases, newsletters and social media content
- Promote communications and marketing materials through appropriate social channels
- Track analytics and produce communication reports on a regular basis and annually reports
- Ensure that all communications and marketing materials aligns with brand standards
- Organize and maintain digital media archives, including photos and videos
- Collaborate with website developers and designers to regularly update Desmos website. Upload content on website regularly.
