Project Manager Position

Desmos is a Non-profit Foundation that serves as a hub between donors and charitable organizations since 2012. Our operation is based on transparency, accountability and continuous impact assessment.

Our mission is to match donations from individuals, companies and foundations with the real needs of the Greek society. We document the needs of organizations, we monitor their work and distribute resources, where they are mostly needed.

Desmos is currently growing and looking for a dynamic person to join our team as a Program Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, preferably in the field of NGO’s and / or charitable organizations.

The position will report directly to the General Manager and will be based in Athens.

The person will be responsible for implementing ongoing Desmos nationwide programs, tailored-made projects, as well as new project development, aligned with Desmos’ vision and mission.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of large – scale existing programs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of tailored-made projects.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new projects.
  • Liaise between donors and charitable organizations to design and implement program scope, activities, events and processes in order to ensure seamless, effective and transparent operations in accordance with Desmos’ principles and strategic goals.
  • Liaise with charitable organizations to document needs, monitor their work and facilitate their collaboration with Desmos.
  • Coordinate donor and donor representatives’ visits to recipient organizations and represent Desmos.
  • Maintain, manage and update Desmos’ office management systems and daily communication with donors, charitable organizations and third parties.
  • Maintain Desmos’ databases and archives of contracts, invoices, event orders, promotional materials and donations/proposals.
  • Develop performance and impact reports and/or new proposals presentations, in collaboration with the Desmos Fundraising & Communication officers


  • University degree or a vocational school diploma of at least 3 years duration
  • Proven experience in a similar field, with experience in project management and more specifically in program development, staffing, budgeting and scheduling
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in Greek and English
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Suite (sp. Excel and PowerPoint), Google – Gmail

Additional Skills:

  • CRM or other such database knowledge is preferred
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in working in teams, collaborative spirit and research skills
